Welcome Students,
Library 10 is a 1 unit, workbook & online based course designed to improve your research skills.
Research is a journey that can be fulfilling, enjoyable and enlightening. During the semester I will be writing and posting to this blog in order to assist you in finding quality resources for your research. I hope you will use the suggestions and enjoy the Web sites.
Keep an open mind while interacting with your instructors, fellow students and the community. Knowledge can be empowering -- it is the only possession you can keep forever.
To complete Library 10 you will need:
1. The Library 10 workbook. Purchase at the Bookstore or the College Bank ($12 +tax). Bring your receipt to the Library Reference desk to pick up the workbook.
2. A library card. Available free at the Library Circulation desk (bring your driver's license or student activity card).
3. A computer with Internet access. There are tutorials located on the Library homepage that support the lessons in the workbook. Computers are available in the Library or at the Computer Technology Center (CTC), building 1400. You may also work from home on your own computer, or bring your laptop to campus.
4. A network account. To work on a campus computer, bring your student ID number to the Library or CTC - You will need your ID to create your network login & password. Ask a librarian for assistance.
